Opportunity: The developer proposed a residential mid-rise located in Chicago’s Edgewater Beach neighborhood, a desirable location adjacent to beaches and parkland along Lake Michigan.

Solution: The thoroughly modern solution incorporates two distinct yet harmonious structures. The residences consist of three varying housing styles: single-story, 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom condominium residences; two-story maisonette homes with private street entrances; and four-story townhomes with private entrances and integrated studio loft rental apartments. Building amenities include arrival plaza, an elegant glass entry lobby, an exercise facility, and a conference/meeting room with kitchen facilities that expand to an outdoor green roof terrace.

Value: In addition to the green roof terrace garden, environmentally sensitive building concepts are used throughout the structure such as sustainable plantings, low-E coated high-performance glass window systems, and bicycle storage for all units in the building.
